About Antonio

Antonio Albuquerque is the Chief Investment Officer at  Peninsula Real Estate. Antonio is the transaction lead for portfolio construction, real estate acquisitions, divestures and developments. Antonio is a member of Peninsula’s Investment Committee.

Antonio is a qualified architect and real estate professional with 20 years of experience in acquisitions, disposals and investment analysis with expertise in financial modelling, accounting and financial analysis.

Antonio began his career in 1999 as a real estate appraiser across all asset classes with Luso Roux, Eurovalor and Aguirre Newman providing valuations and investment analysis to European financial institutions and funds.

In 2008, Antonio joined Domusvenda in Lisbon advising clients on collateral valuations of NPL’s, providing underwriting reports on secured NPL portfolios and advising corporates, including Apollo Global, Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse on real estate modeling and financial analysis.

In 2011, Antonio joined Orey Financial as Head of Real Estate with responsibility for managing the real estate investment funds and investment financial analysis function covering Portugal, Brazil and Spain.

Antonio moved to Dubai in 2016 as the Senior Investment Manager of Equitativa with responsibility for managing the acquisition and investment processes for Emirates REIT, the Residential REIT, the Hospitality REIT and the Logistics REIT. Antonio has analysed over $3bn of relevant assets in the GCC.

Antonio is a member of Peninsula’s Sustainability Committee.
