A Home Sentiment Survey measures consumer sentiment towards the residential property market. It allows for the creation of an index, which is derived from regular surveys of a representative sample of consumers. The survey can determine consumer sentiment regarding buying, selling, investing in, renting of and renovating property, as well as property market conditions in general.
Home sentiment surveys are found in most real estate markets around the world, as the findings can be used to help forecast mortgage originations, future real estate prices, sales and housing starts.
There are currently no home owner sentiment indices in the region. By taking part in the Peninsula Home Sentiment Survey you can help us create a new index for the region.
